CSR Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is used for adhering plasterboard and fibre cement wallboard to timber and steel frames.
Typical Applications
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is widely used in residential and commercial wall and ceiling applications. It is not for use in fire rated systems or for walls where tiles will be applied.
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is a simple and convenient way to adhere plasterboard sheets to timber wall studs and ceiling joists as well as metal framing members. It is specially formulated to offer excellent adhesion properties and is easily identified, once installed, by its distinctive blue colour.
Gyprock Acrylic Stud Adhesive is fast and easy to apply by hand using a small broadknife or with a mechanical sausage gun. It will not skin in hot weather or thicken in the cold.
Fixing Systems – for steel and timber framed walls and ceilings
In most situations, the recommended fixing system for interior walls and ceilings is a combination of adhesive, such as Acrylic Stud Adhesive, and permanent fasteners such as nails or screws.
Depending on the characteristics and positioning of the wall or ceiling, various combinations of fixing materials are recommended. For example, the fastener only fixing system is to be used on walls which will be tiled, over existing linings or in fire rated installations. To check which fixing system is best for your application, refer to the Gyprock Residential Installation Guide.
