Fyrchek MR’s glass fibre-reinforced core enables it to maintain structural integrity when subjected to direct flame. The additional moisture resistant properties make it an ideal board for use as part of a fire rated wall or ceiling system in wet areas or application subjected to high humidity.
This plasterboard is also an acoustic grade board and can be used in systems where acoustic separation is specified.
Gyprock Fyrchek MR can be easily identified by its blue coloured face paper.
Available Edge Profiles
Gyprock Fyrchek MR is available with a recessed edge (RE) profile – both long edges of the board feature a recess that tapers approximately 60mm in from the edge. This is the standard choice of profile for flush jointed systems.
Tested Fire Performance
Gyprock fire rated plasterboard products are manufactured with special additives to enhance their fire resistance properties. The additives slow the progress of heat and flame, and when used as part of a CSR fire rated system, provide performance options suitable for many construction types.
CSR provides a range of wall and ceiling systems, junction and penetration details, which meet and exceed the requirements of the Building Code of Australia. These solutions often include a combination of plasterboard, insulation, sealants and accessories to reach various performance criteria.
