Ultra-Base 60
Gyprock Ultra-Base 60 is a premium lightweight base coat with powerful antifungal properties to help protect occupants from the potential ill effects of mould and mildew.
Typical Applications
Gyprock Ultra-Base 60 is typically used for the first and second coat in a three coat jointing system in residential and commercials walls and ceilings. Its antifungal properties make it perfect for jointing Gyprock Sensitive and Gyprock EC08 Complete in bathrooms, wet areas and laundries and throughout the homes of asthma and allergy sufferers. Ultra-Base 60 is designed for application with hand tools, mud boxes, automatic tapers and other machine tools.
Ultra-Base 60 is a setting type jointing compound with a working life of approx 60 minutes from application. Used for the first and second coat in a three coat jointing system, its powerful antifungal properties provide added mould resistance for the whole joint. It has been approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice® program as a better plasterboard choice for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Joints may be finished with any Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound and sanded smooth prior to decoration.

It has a shelf life of 1 year from date of manufacture.

Product Manufacture
Gyprock Ultra-Base 60 is manufactured by CSR Gyprock in Australia to stringent product specifications.
Product Handling
Transportation and manual handling: Refer to the Gypsum Board Manufacturers of Australia (GBMA) website for recommended OH&S practices.
Storage: Store bags of compound in a dry environment, protected from the weather and out of direct sunlight. Tear bag open from top corner to dispense compound. Unused product which has been mixed with water should be discarded. Unused product in powder format should be stored in original bag: roll the top of the bag to loosely seal, and store in an airtight container.
